US History II
    This course will help students study 20th century America and participate as responsible citizens in today's society.  The course deals with the concepts of leadership, decision making, citizens' roles and responsibilities.  Course content begins with the origins of the Cold War and continues to the present.  Students will use eyewitness accounts, narratives, and primary source materials to understand the issues of United States history.  Current issues facing our country will be discussed.  The course will help students become informed citizens by giving them a clear understanding of the relationship between themselves and government (Program of Studies Booklet).
