Hello!I am Ms. Shelly Cortés.This school year marks the beginning of my twentieth year in the education field, my ninth year at Woodstown. Prior to coming to Achieve, I taught Second Grade, Fifth Grade and Achieve at Woodstown Middle School. I also taught at the Deerfield Elementary School, and at the Harrison Township School District. Serving as a teacher coach and tutor with the Reading Assist Institute in Wilmington, Delaware I gained a set of skills to help me with small group and individual instruction. I earned my Early Childhood/Elementary Education degree from Neumann University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. I have enjoyed proud moments in life as the mother of two. My children are now both adults! I live at home with Chico, my cat. Chico gives me lots of love and plenty to laugh about.I am a firm believer that you learn something new everyday, in any way.
