All third-grade students will receive report card grades three times each school year.  The grading key is as follows:

4 = Student demonstrates skills with independence, consistency, and confidence.
3 = Student demonstrates the use of skills with growing independence but requires some teacher assistance.
2 = Student is beginning to demonstrate the use of these skills but requires frequent teacher assistance.
1 = Student is not demonstrating the use of skills.
N/A = Not assessed at this time.
Students are graded in the academic areas of Language Arts Literacy, Writing, Mathematics, Speaking and Listening, Science/Social Studies,  and Student Conduct/Work Habits.  Students will also receive grades for their special subject classes of music, health, physical education, and art.
In addition to receiving report cards, parents are invited to parent-teacher conferences twice each year.  All resource room students will also receive progress reports which will state their progress toward the goals established in the IEP's at the end of each trimester.  If you have any additional questions about your child's progress, feel free to contact me.
