     GRADING POLICY
     
    ESL
     
    Students receive progress reports each marking period highlighting their progress in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing English.
     
     
    SPANISH 
     
    3 - SECURE - Student independently demonstrates skills and concepts at grade level with consistency and confidence.
     
    2** - DEVELOPING - Student is progressing towards meeting goals, but requires some assistance.
     
    1 - CONCERN - Student is not yet demonstrating skills or meeting grade level expectations and requires constant assistance. 
     
    **The majority of students taking Spanish in Shoemaker can expect to receive a 2 (Developing) since they are just beginning to develop their ability to speak Spanish.
