Immigration and Urbanization
The Industrial Revolution will bring huge numbers of immigrants to the United States looking for the "streets that are paved with gold". The cultures of these immigrants helped create modern American culture. This influx of immigrants encouraged rapid growth of cities especially in the northeastern United States. This rapid growth created some difficult urban problems that would need to be solved over time.
