Ms. Matthews
Greetings Woodstown-Pilesgrove Regional School District Stakeholders,
I am very humbled and honored to introduce myself as the new Supervisor of Special Education and to join this exceptional community. I can assure you, that I share in this school community’s dedication to care for our students every day while providing them with a meaningful learning environment.
I arrived at Woodstown-Pilesgrove as a seasoned educator with 28 years of combined experience as a teacher and administrator. My teaching experience includes special, general and computer education, in both public and charter schools. My roles as an administrator include assistant principal, principal and director.
As a transformational leader, I firmly believe that every child can succeed and that the collaboration between home and school builds the trust and self-esteem for that to occur. So, through effective teaching and learning experiences, students should be exposed to reaching their highest potential to shape their future, consequently, the future of our community and our nation. In recognition of the district’s mission to challenge and empower every student to see and pursue their potential and to develop a passion for life-long learning in our diverse and changing world, I am devoted to continually exploring new ideas to meet the needs of all students and to interact with parents and community members efficiently.
As the new year begins, I look forward to meeting and working collaboratively with the school community and partners to continue to provide a successful learning experience for all!
To conclude, please remember that I am always available. I sincerely welcome your conversation and input during this year. Let us keep our students the primary focus of our work. I can’t wait to celebrate our collective successes during the 2021-22 school year.
Educationally yours,
Tameka Matthews, Supervisor
Woodstown-Pilesgrove Regional School District
