Intervention and Referral Services is a state mandated multidisciplinary team which designs, implements, and monitors intervention plans for students experiencing difficulties in one of more of the following areas: *Learning *Behavior *Health Services Provided by I & RS: *The I & RS Team coordinates the access to and delivery of resources to identified students. *The I & RS Team develops intervention plans for students in need. *The I & RS Team assists staff who are having difficulties in addressing a student's learning, behavior and health needs. *The I & RS Team maintains on-going contact with parents, staff, and students. Section 504 Section 504 is a federal rights statue which protects the rights of students with disabilities. A 504 Accomodation Plan is designed for each student according to individual need. Examples of 504 handicapping conditions are: *Communicable diseases- Tuberculosis, HIV *Medical Condiations- asthma, allergies, diabetes, heart disease *Temporary medical conditions due to illness or accident. *Atttention Deficit Disorder (ADD, ADHD) *Behavioral difficulties *Other conditions. |
