• bob Hi! I'm Ms. Silver, the School Counselor for our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders!

I have had the honor of working at Mary Shoemaker as the School Counselor for the past 5 years. I graduated from Montclair State University with my Bachelor's Degree in Family and Child Studies with a concentration in Family Services, and later Rowan University with my Master's in Counseling in Educational Settings. I am currently pursuing my Licensed Associate Counseling Certification to keep my skills and knowledge as up to date as possible. Prior to being a School Counselor, I worked on Norwegian Cruise Line as a Youth Counselor, and in the educational setting as a preschool teacher, substitute teacher and aftercare supervisor.

I am so grateful for all things in my life, big and small. I appreciate the abilities that I have and opportunities I am presented with. My biggest opportunity has been working here at Mary Shoemaker with all of our amazing kids and families, and my favorite ability is being able to see and appreciate each sunset.

Some of my favorite hobbies are going to the beach, hiking, reading, and playing with my dog Bobbie :)

One of my favorite inspirational quotes is:

“To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

    Me and Hope :)

Hi! I'm Ms. Geremia, the School Counselor for the 1st and 2nd grade!

I have been a School Counselor for the past 5 years and I graduated from Liberty University with my Masters in Education in 2016. I have had the privilege of working with high school, middle school and elementary students in my time as a School Counselor. Prior to becoming a School Counselor, I have worked as a teacher, social worker, Residential Director and a server.

I am grateful for my family, who encourage me to be better. I am also grateful for the opportunity I have to work with your children---they inspire me everyday!

Some of the things I like to do include going to the beach, playing with my little dog Hope, spending time with my family, and kickboxing!

One of my favorite inspirational quotes is, "Don't worry about failures, worry about the chances you miss if you don't even try!"
