Parents who have concerns about academic and/or developmental delays exhibited by their child are entitled to assistance through the Woodstown-Pilesgrove Child Study Team.  If your child is between the ages of 3 and 21, and you suspect there may be a significant weakness or deficiency in one or more areas of academic progress and/or development, evaluation services may be helpful to you as a means to promote a better understanding of the problem.  The basic Child Study Team for children consists of a school psychologist, learning consultant, school social worker, school nurse, and when indicated, our speech-language specialist.

The earlier a special needs child can be identified, the sooner steps can be initiated to address the problem.  If your child meets the criteria to be eligible for special Education Services, a supportive educational environment is available along with related services.

It has been shown that all children show variation in their patterns of development.  However, significant difficulty with thinking, seeing, hearing, speaking, coordination and/or social emotional behavior may indicate the need for early intervention.
