Click for COVID-19 School Closing Information - 3/16/20 - 3/27/20

Good Afternoon Students, Parents, Colleagues, Alumni and Friends:

After careful consultation with our Salem County Health Department, review of CDC recommendations for social distancing,  and conferring with our district Administrative Team and County Superintendents, we feel that it is in the best interest of our students, staff and community to close the Woodstown-Pilesgrove Regional School District in an effort to curb the spread of the COVID -19 virus. Health and safety is of paramount importance to us.

As of today, our district will be closed from Monday, March 16, 2020 through Friday, March 27, 2020.  At that time we will reevaluate COVID-19 data.

Thanks to a diligent effort by our staff, we are completely prepared to implement a plan to offer continued learning to all of our students.

Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade students who are transported by bus need to be at their bus-stop at the regular pick-up time on Monday morning to accept a packet of 10-days worth of schoolwork. Transported PM Pre-Kindergarten student packets will be dropped off in the morning.

Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade students who walk and or carpool to school, will have the opportunity to pick up their packets at Mary Shoemaker Elementary School from 7:30 -8:00 am (normal arrival time.)

Students in grades 6th through 12th will have an opportunity for e-learning. We have compiled a list of students without internet access who will receive a delivery of their work.

Detailed information on how to work with your child during this situation will be sent from your building principal.

As always, we thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we navigate this unprecedented situation.

Educationally yours,

Ginny Grossman, Superintendent of Schools
